SERVICES WE OFFER

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES:

We offer an extensive visual and eye examination with every consultation.

It is very important to analyze and understand the visual system and needs of every patient.

The health of the eyes are also a priority and therefore we take Fundus (Retinal) pictures of every patient to assess the health of the inside of the eye.

DISPENSING:

We believe that every pair of glasses that we make should be dispensed in a professional manner. Therefore we would spend a few minutes when you collect your glasses, to make sure that the frames are fitting well and lenses are correctly align in front of your eyes.

As for contact lenses we would spend adequate time and effort to make sure lenses are fitting well and optimal results as far as vision and comfort are achieved.

LENS LABORATORY:

We have our own lens cutting facility in our practice.  We also keep single vision stock lenses.  Most single vision glasses can be made the same day.  As for Bifocal and Multifocal lenses, glasses can normally be ready the following day.

Due to this facility we can offer the fastest service in the East Rand.  We are also more than happy to help you out in emergencies and will go out of our way to get any lenses or glasses in the shortest time.

MOBILE SERVICE:

We offer a mobile service to companies and schools.  We have high quality mobile equipment which we can bring to you.  With the experienced staff and back up from the practice and lens laboratory we can offer an excellent service at affordable prices.

MEDICAL AIDS:

We are contracted in with most Medical Aids to try and accommodate as many patients as possible. We will claim from your medical aid and any portions exceeding your benefits, is payable directly to us.

We also accept RCS cards, most credit and debit cards.

COMMUNITY DAYS:

We have a social responsibility toward our community and therefore we offer 10 community days during the year. We subsidize frames and lenses to offer package deals at the most affordable prices.

Community days are meant for pensioners, disadvantage people with no medical aids and children.

Cash payment on the day you are tested, no medical aids accepted.

Please note on the following:

We work on first come, first serve basis; no appointments.  The waiting period could be longer than normal.  If you are not prepared to wait, we can unfortunately not accommodate you.  You will however be seen ASAP.

R350.00    – Eye test only

R1040.00   – Single Vision

R1950.00 – Bifocal

R3150.00 – Multifocal

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  • An eye test
  • Own frame or one of our new frames provided, with no guarantee
  • White lenses only without any extras

HOW LONG WILL THE GLASSES TAKE?

It will take 3 days for all community day glasses. We will contact you immediately when you’re glasses are ready. Unfortunately, if you can’t wait that long we won’t be able to accommodate you.

EXTRAS

If you want any extras like PGX tints, extra large lenses, etc. or any other frame, it will be available at normal prices.

INDEMNITY

We do not accept any responsibility for frames that break, screws that work loose in frames or lenses that break.  We won’t swap any frames after glasses have been made up without costs involved.
